Andrea Pesavento is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her B.S. in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology from the State University of New York College at Cortland and her Masters of Social Work from Adelphi University. Andrea is able to provide one-on-one confidential support for students for alcohol and other substances. She also provides one-on-one support and referrals for nutrition, sexual health, helping a friend, or any other health/wellness concern. Andrea is from the Hudson Valley, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, hiking, and being outdoors.
Sam graduated in May 2017 with a Religion major and Women's Studies correlate. She’s passionate about making resources accessible and available to students so they can thrive during their time here. Sam works closely with the Wellness Peer Educators to provide programs about health and wellness for students. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, playing board games, and spending time with friends.

Anya '20- Noyes House
Anya is from Bel Air, Maryland. She is a Psychology and Biology double major. This is her fourth year in the office. She is part of HYPE, one of the dance groups on campus. She enjoys watching Netflix with her friends and listening to music. Anya feels proud when people come to her with health and wellness questions. Her favorite health topics include sexual health, alcohol and other drugs, as well as the intersection of personal identity and different health topics.
Brenna '20- Davison House
Brenna is a Neuroscience and Behavior major. She hopes to make Vassar a healthier campus through health education, and is particularly interested in STI prevention, contraceptives, substance abuse prevention, and mental health. In addition to being a WPE, she is also an EMT with VCEMS and with the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department in Maryland; the Student Development coordinator for The Underground, an organization that raises awareness for human trafficking; and she is involved with the Good Neighbors committee. In her free time Brenna loves baking and rehabilitating discarded furniture.
Esperanza '20- Raymond House
Esperanza is a Biochemistry major from San Diego. This is her 3rd year in the office and she’s very excited to make her last year the best one yet. This is her first year being the WPE for Raymond and she’s thrilled to be working with a new house and new wonderful people. She’s also part of the Biochemistry Majors Committee, HYPE, one of the dance groups on campus, and the Senior Class Council. Fun fact: During her sophomore year, she lived in a Noyes double by herself for the entire year.
Maya '20- Main House
Maya is a Psychology major from Columbus, Ohio. She is passionate about reproductive justice and making reproductive healthcare more accessible and equitable for all. She has interned with an adolescent health center and doula organization & is excited to use the skills she’s acquired as a WPE. She hopes to become a midwife to provide black communities the pregnancy options and empowered birth experiences they deserve. In her free time, she likes listening to music, reading articles, and running every now and then.
Erik '21- Jewett House
Erik is a Cognitive Science major. He is interested in epidemiology, data visualization, and human-computer interaction within healthcare. He is one of the House Fellow Interns in Jewett House. He works with the House Fellows to develop and host collaborative events for Jewett residents and the campus community at large. He hopes to work in the medical technology sector of Type 1 Diabetes. Growing up in Southern California, he has developed a passion for surfing, and loves to skateboard and play basketball on campus.
Lauren '21- Cushing House
Lauren is a Psychology major and Biology correlate from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her interest in inclusive and comprehensive health education led her to become a WPE. She loves being the WPE for Cushing House and developing fun and helpful health education programming. She is also a member of the Vassar Equestrian Team, Project Period, and volunteers with Nobody Leaves Mid-Hudson
Susannah '21- Josselyn House
Susannah is a probable Psychology major from Atlanta, Georgia. This is Susannah’s second year working for the office as the Wellness Peer Educator for Joss and Susannah hopes to continue helping peers make more informed decisions about their health during their time here. During free time, Susannah enjoys singing in the Vassar College Women’s Choir, playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends, crafting, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, and eating mac and cheese.
Julia '22- Lathrop House
Julia is a Computer Science major with a strong interest in philosophy. She lives in New York City, but grew up near Vassar. She is very interested in promoting healthy relationships. She loves staying in shape and is on the Women’s Rugby team. Go Brewers!
Zoya '22- Strong House
Zoya is a prospective Economics major from New Delhi, India. She is passionate about increasing awareness about sexual and reproductive health. On campus, she enjoys participating in the South Asian Students Alliance and HYPE, one of the dance groups on campus. In her free time, she likes to try her hand at baking, spend time with friends and play badminton.
