The Office of Health Promotion and Education provides programs, outreach, and consultation for students around all areas of health and wellness. We know that students need to be well in their mental and physical health to thrive at Vassar academically and personally.
Our goal is to help students thrive in all areas of their health by giving them the tools to make the best decisions for themselves. We’re committed to making sure that students feel comfortable accessing resources and are aware of the different resources on campus. We provide both small and large scale programs about sexual health, nutrition, birth control, stress reduction, disordered eating, how to help a friend who may be struggling, alcohol and other drugs. Some of our most popular programs include the Harvest Health Fair, Halloween 5K Fun Run, Birth Control 101, Destress Daze, and SEXpo.
We also know that students feel more comfortable at times getting health information one on one from their peers. We have 9 wellness peer educators who are certified peer educators that can meet with you one on one to help answer health questions and direct you to support on campus.
